Seismos Graphies
A graphic project that starts from a simple yet complex hypothesis: every visible form responds to an internal state driven by the symbolic. This project investigates that state through serial lines, layered cutouts, and time-based montages. It begins with the subjective and with how the symbolic adheres to the body until it forms structures that sustain us without our noticing.
What comes before the word? How can a word define us? And how do those words become part of what makes you who you are?
This project seeks a first point of initiation that starts with the gesture and then moves toward the design of writing.
Reading experience
The project proposes unsettled evidence. A spontaneous decision—one repeated stroke—can build a body. The image does not explain; it behaves. Each piece keeps a residue that resists closure, inviting slower looking and the acceptance that understanding can also occur without discourse.
Seismos Graphies understands design as material speculation: a way to communicate the unsayable without reducing it to text. Form is born from emptiness, grows by accumulation, and rests on misalignment. The project does not pursue function or solution; it produces reading situations in which the internal finds surface and lines of time.
This project stands before typography. It remains with the gesture—designing structures of resonance generated in “soft” bodies—and shows how that gesture becomes noise and, eventually, ideology.
Status and approach
This project is part of an open series oriented toward experimentation and the generation of variants. There is no final version—only iterations that refine the notation and expand the reach of this psychology of forms.
