Graphic project based on the following hypothesis: every visible form can be read as the residue of a tension between body, gesture, surface and language. This project investigates that state of things through serial lines, cut-out layers and temporal montages. It does not begin from inner expression, but from gestures, lines and layers brought into relation until they produce an unstable surface.
What exists before the word? How can a word come to define us? And how do those words become part of what makes us who we are?
This project attempts to create a first point of initiation: one that begins with gesture and later moves toward the design of writing.
Reading experience
The project proposes non-consensual evidence. A spontaneous decision, a repeated stroke, can construct a body. The image is not explained: it behaves. Each piece preserves a remainder that resists closure, inviting us to look more slowly and to accept that understanding can also take place without discourse.
Seismos Graphies understands design as material speculation: a means of giving form to what does not fully appear in language. Form is born from the void, grows through accumulation and is sustained by misalignment. The project does not pursue function or solution; it produces reading situations in which vibration finds surface and timelines.
This project exists before typography. It remains in gesture, in the design of structures of resonance generated within “soft” bodies. And in how that gesture becomes noise and, eventually, ideology.
State and approach
This project forms part of an open series, oriented toward experimentation and the generation of variants. There is no definitive version: only iterations that refine the notation and expand the scope of this psychology of forms.
