A study of the sonic reverberation produced when a stone strikes a head.
Goooong is a visual and sonic study that reflects on the traumatic encounter between a stone, a skull and the sound reverberation produced by the blow.
The project is set up as an action mechanism designed to generate a sound. But what sounds are appropriate to compose the expression of this traumatic encounter? Is it music? Is it the beginning of a revolution? Is it something productive, like Newton’s apple? Or is it something erratic, like the bullet that grazed Trump’s ear?

The project revolves around the idea of shielding: that which does not break under any circumstance. A hyper-mineralised skull, capable of withstanding any impact, knowing that no fissure can be opened. The only thing one can expect from this traumatic encounter is a sonic reverberation. A sound trace.
The project is inspired by the Gongman from the famous opening logo of The Rank Organisation films. From that vibration, we enter the story of how David defeated Goliath, not through strength alone, but through cunning, precision and a minor weapon. In this way, the model of power based on mass, armour, intimidation and gigantism falls. Another form of power appears. David represents an apparently minor resonance that nevertheless inaugurates another logic. The blow begins a shift in meaning. A hope.
The aim here is to design a mechanism capable of activating veiled sounds. To design by ear.
Goooong is a small gesture to hear the sound of skulls made to withstand the most extreme blows without cracking.
