Gloriam - Original work

€2.100,00
Select Title

This work focuses on the study of a fragment of a horse rescued from the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus , one of the wonders of the ancient world. The fragment, belonging to a horse from a monumental quadriga, is now in the British Museum , representing one of the few pieces that have survived from that imposing architectural structure.

The piece reinterprets the horse's head through a drawing reconstruction based on its gaze. This eye, which looks towards the sky, becomes the central axis of the composition, contrasting its ascending gaze with the liquid and fluid weight that seems to descend like a spring of emotions.

The horse's thawed gaze takes on a contemporary resonance, evoking the current human condition, where the saturation of stimuli has frozen our capacity to feel deeply. This gaze, caught between glory and loss, symbolizes the emotional challenge of a world in which it is increasingly difficult to become sensitive and to let ourselves be carried away by emotion.

The piece is created using fine art Giclée printing, using water-based pigmented inks on 310-gram Hahnemühle William Turner paper, a material that ensures exceptional quality and durability in printing.

The work is unique and unrepeatable, subtly retouched by hand with wax pencil and signed by the author , which certifies its authenticity and exclusivity.

No additional copies will be made of the work , guaranteeing that every detail is a genuine and unrepeatable expression.

The piece measures 100 x 70 cm . It does not include a frame and will be sent in a sealed tube with the necessary security so that it arrives in perfect condition.

The image of the work will be used solely for self-promotion purposes, thus preserving the exclusivity of its acquisition.

Important issues

The works presented on this website are completely original and unique , created directly by the author. Each piece is hand-handled, signed, and personally shipped, which guarantees its authenticity. No copies or reproductions are made of the works available in the store, thus ensuring that each buyer receives an exclusive piece. The image of the work may only be used for the author's self-promotion purposes, with no physical replicas.

The creation process varies for each work. Generally, the pieces are the result of a prior infographic study, and are printed using the Giclée technique, which guarantees exceptional quality. Then, each work is retouched by hand with materials such as wax pencil or watercolor, ensuring that each piece is unique in its conception and in the diversity of techniques used.

The works are produced on acid-free, alkaline-reserved Fine Art papers, which offer maximum durability. These high-end papers are composed primarily of cotton or alpha cellulose and have an estimated lifespan of over 100 years without significant color alterations. The materials used have been previously tested by Wilhelm Imaging Research , which ensures their longevity and resistance.

To ensure the safety of the pieces during transport, we implement double packaging and use protective tubes for the appropriate sizes. Each work is carefully packed to ensure that it arrives in perfect condition at its destination.

The works are usually shipped within 5 to 7 working days after receipt of the order. However, since some pieces are not stored directly in the studio for conservation reasons, this period may vary. In the event of a delay, the buyer will be notified by email.

To preserve the quality of Fine Art prints, it is essential to protect them from moisture and direct sunlight . Exposure to UV rays can cause progressive fading. When displaying the work, it is recommended to use UV-protected glass or methacrylate to maintain the integrity of the piece's colors and details.
